Food and Water

We are very serious on issues relating to health. We have a team of well trained and highly experienced cooks and assistant cooks who work quite harder and around the clock to hygienically prepare meals delicious meals. They carefully disinfect all dishes and cooking utensils as well as all fruits and fresh vegetables.

We recommend that you drink plenty of water on high altitudes and on safari as well so that you stay healthy and moving. One of the necessary gears in each of the trip is the Katadyn water filters approved by the United Nations World Health Organization. These filters can produce up to 10 liters of crystal clear pure water in a minute.

Vehicle Safety

We take safety of our clients and vehicles very seriously:

1. • We have a fleet of powerful 4WD Land Rovers and Land Cruisers.
   

2. • Vehicles are maintained after every safari and tires are changed regularly.
   

3. • Every car is equipped with VHF radios to communicate all times with the base.
   

4. • All camps have VHF radios for communication with the Arusha base station.
   

5. • In addition we have mobile phones which are accessible around the clock.
   

6. • We have driver-guides who are experienced in the wilderness.
   

7. • All drivers have taken first aid courses and carry first aid kits.
   

8. • Most of these driver-guides were mechanics before we employed them as drivers.
   

Altitude Safety

High altitude is associated with high altitude illness. We are well equipped to evaluate your health and never put your life at risk. We take the following measures;

1. • Tents will keep you dry, warm and safe in a severe storm.
   

2. • We provide all trips with trip leaders and enough assistant trip leaders.
   

3. • We work with Tanzania National Parks Authority in case of emergency rescue.
   

4. • Trip leaders have the experience of more than 150 Kilimanjaro and Kenya climbs.
   

5. • Each of our trip leaders are Wilderness First Responder certified.
   

6. • We equip trips with solar and battery powered VHF radios for communication.
   

7. • In addition we have mobile phones which are accessible around the clock.
   

8. • We carry supplemental oxygen and high altitude hyperbaric Gamow bags.
   

9. • We supply each trip with enough and appropriate food and plenty of safe water.
